In this Privacy Notice, we inform you about how we collect and process personal data when you visit our website www.multinetcom.ch (“Website”) or social media pages, contact us or use our services.

Please note that our respective client is responsible for our processing of customer data (data on owners of the buildings or on contact persons at the responsible real estate management). Therefore, please also consult the privacy notice of the respective telecommunications company that is your contractual partner with regard to FTTH connection.

Personal data processed during communication and service provision

We collect the information you provide to us when you contact us, use our services, or apply for a job at Multinet Communication.

This includes general personal data such as name and contact details, and, if applicable, details of your position or role with the organization on whose behalf you are contacting us. When you apply for a job at Multinet Communication, we collect your resume and other information about your qualifications that you submit to us as part of your application file.

We also process personal data that we receive from third parties. This regularly includes personal data that we receive in correspondence or meetings with customers, partners or suppliers, e.g. your name and details of your activity as an employee with the respective customer, partner or supplier.

To the extent necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, we also collect general personal data from publicly accessible registers (e.g., to verify your authorization to sign).

Processing of personal data on behalf of telecommunications companies

Multinet Communication is active in the field of telecommunications network construction in Switzerland. We carry out this activity as a general contractor for telecommunications companies.

If you communicate with us or make use of services in connection with the development of your property (or a property that you manage), we process your personal data exclusively on behalf of and for the purposes of the respective telecommunications company that is your contractual partner in relation to the FTTH development. This also applies to personal data (e.g. name, contact details and data on the relevant property) that we receive from your municipality of residence or from land registry offices, as well as personal data that we collect ourselves.

If you have any questions in this regard or would like to exercise your rights as a data subject under data protection law, please contact the telecommunications company that is your contractual partner (or the contractual partner of the respective owners of the property).

Provision and use of our Website

Use for information
You can find out about Multinet Communication and our range of services on the Website without telling us who you are.
As with any connection to a web server, the server on which we have the Website provided automatically logs and stores certain technical data for a short time. This includes the IP address and operating system of your device, the date and time of use, and the type of browser you use to access the Website.

Web analysis
We use web analysis services (currently Google Analytics) to evaluate the use of the Website and to obtain information for its optimization. The web analytics services we use collect and store user data using cookies. Before they are transmitted to a server outside Switzerland/EU/EEA, the requesting IP addresses are shortened. We therefore do not transmit any personal data to the providers of the web analysis services abroad.

Resources from external websites
We integrate resources from external servers on the Website. This concerns visible content (videos from YouTube) as well as technical resources (reCAPTCHA). When retrieving these resources, the operator of the external servers learns your IP address and/or certain marginal data, which are necessary for the use of the servers of the external operator.

Note on the use of cookies
We use cookies, tags, and similar technologies on the Website. Cookies are text files that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use an app. The cookies we use are necessary to provide you with the best experience on the Website and to provide certain features (e.g. videos from YouTube and language settings).
You can instruct your browser not to accept cookies or to prompt you each time before a cookie is set. You can also delete cookies on your device by using the corresponding function of your browser.

For what purposes we process your personal data

We process your personal data primarily to inform you about our range of services and to provide, document and invoice our services in accordance with our contractual and legal obligations.
In addition, we process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your inquiries and communicating with you;
  • making available and optimizing the Website;
  • informing you about new developments at Multinet Communication;
  • processing job applications;
  • compying with legal obligations; and
  • enforcing legal claims.

We have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data that corresponds to the mentioned purposes. Some processing is also necessary for us to comply with our contractual obligations to you or with our legal obligations (e.g. retention obligations).

How we store and protect your personal data

We store your personal data only to the extent and for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice or to comply with legal obligations.

In the interest of the integrity and confidentiality of personal data, we take appropriate technical and organizational measures. In particular, we implement physical and logical access controls, and procedures to regularly review, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of the measures in accordance with our risk assessment.

To whom we disclose your personal data

In order to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal data to other organizations. These are the following categories of recipients:

  • external service providers;
  • partners, suppliers and other business partners (in the context of communication and service provision); and
  • authorities and courts (if applicable).

Place of processing

We store and process your personal data primarily in Switzerland and the EU.

However, we may also transfer your personal data to recipients in countries outside Switzerland or the EU (worldwide). We transfer data to countries without adequate data protection on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses or legal exceptions (e.g. necessity for contract performance).
